Sara's Salad
Updated: Mar 25
Alight folks. We love our casseroles and daydream about our desserts, but let's be honest, sometimes a good salad is needed. My friend Sara has this to-die-for salad that you have to try! Simple ingredients with a BIG taste. Here's how...
Ingredients:
1 head of romaine lettuce
1 bunch of green onions Broccoli Florets
1 pkg Ramen Noodles
1 cup pecans
4 Tablespoons butter
1 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Red Wine Vinegar
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
Directions:
Cut together the lettuce, onions and broccoli. Broil the noodles, pecans, and butter together in the oven until they start to turn golden brown. Be careful because they cook quickly. Place on lettuce mix. Shake together in a mason jar with a lid oil, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. This will make the dressing for the salad. Pour over the lettuce mixture and serve!
I think this was originally a Southern Living recipe and the noodles and pecans mixture was cooked in a heavy iron skillet
