Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Sometimes a classic doesn't have to be complicated. For me, there's nothing better than a homemade bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup when done the right way. This recipe is one you need to add to your collection as a family staple ASAP. Trust me on this. Here's how:
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp butter
1 yellow onion
3 celery stalks
3 large carrots
3 garlic cloves, chopped
Garlic salt
Lemon Pepper seasoning
Oregano
48oz Chicken stock
1/2 cup water
1 lemon (juice and zest)
1 bouillon cube
2 chicken breasts (cooked beforehand and cut into cubes)
2 cups egg noodles
Salt
Pepper
Directions:
In a large pot, add your 2 Tbsp of butter and melt. Chop your onion, celery, and carrots into small bites, and sauté in the butter (roughly 6 minutes). Next, add the garlic, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and oregano to the veggies, and cook for an additional 6 minutes. Once cooked, pour in your chicken stock, water, lemon, and bouillon cube, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add your cubed chicken breasts and simmer. Finally, add your egg noodles to the pot and cook for at least 10 minutes or until the noodles are soft. Finish with Salt and pepper and enjoy!
