Apple Coffee Cake
It's that time of year when Pumpkin Spice Lattes and apple-flavored anything rules the flavor palette. And because I know how much my household loves the feel of Fall, this Apple Coffee Cake is a MUST. It's also perfect for any breakfast, bridal shower, or holiday party. Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 pkg. white cake mix (2 layer)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 c sour cream
3 eggs
1/4 cup water
1 (21oz) can apple pie filling
For the glaze:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1-11/2 Tbsp. milk
Directions:
Combine the first five ingredients in a large bowl with a mixer until smooth. Pour the dough into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the apple pie filling on top of the dough, covering the entire surface. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Keep an eye on it to make sure you don't over bake it. Make the glaze with milk and confectioners' sugar and sprinkle over the cooled cake. Serve and enjoy!
